6-16 fasten-atingDo you set a good example for those who depend on you? With Father’s Day coming this weekend, we want to take a look at the impact that dads (and moms, and any other adult) can have on how kids respond to buckling up every time they get into a vehicle.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself.

Do I:
1. Buckle up every trip, every time?
2. Require everyone in the vehicle, even in the back seat, to buckle up before I put the car in drive?
3. Ensure infant, toddler, and booster seats are properly installed and the correct seat for the child’s age and weight?

Doing these three simple things can help ensure those in your care are safer on the road.

On the lighter side, here are a few transportation-related dad jokes to brighten your day.
1. What’s a sneeze’s favorite mode of transportation?
a. Ah-choo choo train
2. Why did the bike fall over?
a. Because it was 2-tired.
3. What’s the difference between a poorly dressed man on a tricycle and a well-dressed man on a bicycle?
a. Attire
4. I’m in a band called Transportation. - We’re going places!
