It’s getting to be that time of year when many of us are getting a bit tired of the cold. Sweaters and fuzzy socks will soon give way to tank tops and flip flops, but until then, whenever you’re driving, you can cozy up to your seat belt.
Car seat straps serve as the seat belt for young children. But because they don’t retract like adult seat belts, they need to be as tight as possible all the time. Did you know heavy coats can cause issues for the proper fit of car seat straps making them ineffective and dangerous in a crash?

When you get behind the wheel, where are your eyes and what’s on your mind? If your eyes and mind are not focused on the road, the traffic around you, and the information available to you on road signs, you’re taking a risk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes that as many as one in 10 roadway deaths can be in some way attributed to distracted driving.

If you are a sports fan, chances are you will tune in to one or more events in the 2022 Winter Olympics from Beijing, China. In many of those events, the most aggressive and quickest competitor to the finish line wins.
That’s not the case on the highway. Your goal on the road is to make it to your destination safely. If someone sharing the road is speeding or driving aggressively, here are a few tips from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety so you don’t end up in an unnecessary and dangerous competition.
