Message Monday - Drive chill. We're all in this together

01/18/2021

1-18 drive chillThere is a lot going on that could have you on edge right now. It’s so easy to get caught up in our hurry-up world. Driving aggressively, whether that’s speeding, tailgating, cutting in front of another driver, or a host of other hostile actions behind the wheel can put you and everyone on the road with you at risk.

You have the power to control your actions behind the wheel. To make your drive less stressful, try these tips.

  • Maintain adequate following distance.
  • Use turn signals.
  • Allow others to merge.
  • Use your high beams responsibly.
  • Tap your horn if you must (but no long blasts with accompanying hand gestures).
  • Be considerate in parking lots. Park in one spot, not across multiple spaces. Be careful not to hit cars next to you with your door.
