All joking aside, buckling up is the easiest and most effective thing you can do to reduce serious injuries or death if you’re in a crash. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seat belts saved nearly 15,000 lives in 2016. But nearly 2,500 more lives could have been saved if everyone had buckled up.
