Message Monday - Freedom Rocks, Wheels Roll... don't lose control
For many of us on the United States, the Memorial Day holiday is a time to reflect on the sacrifices of our brave men and women who have fought to preserve our freedom. Freedom rocks!
In addition to that reflection, the holiday weekend also serves as the unofficial start to the summer travel season where wheels are rolling, both literally when families take to the road and figuratively in the planning of future summer trips.
When on the road, maintaining control can come in many forms.
- Reduce any distractions – put the phone away.
- Driving in traffic can be frustrating. Keep your aggression in check.
- Don’t let expectations to be somewhere push you to drive at unsafe speeds.
- Buckle up, every seat every time. Even if the driver is buckled up, an unbuckled backseat passenger can become a projectile inside the vehicle during a crash.
