Message Monday - Sept. 14, 2015 - No one puts baby in a hot car
We’ve seen it too many times this summer, parents forgetting their children in a car. The majority of these parents are not intentionally trying to harm their children, but the busyness of life gets the best of them and they actually forget about one of the people they care for the most.
Even with temperatures in the mid 70s, it takes less than 20 minutes for a vehicle to heat up to temperatures that can endanger your child or pet.
How much to you know about preventing child heat stoke? Take this short quiz - http://www.safercar.gov/parents/InandAroundtheCar/Heatstroke-Quiz.htm
Anyone who has seen the movie, Dirty Dancing, remembers the line, “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” https://youtu.be/28A9Jgo92GQ. For this week’s message “Nobody puts baby in a hot car,” we not only connect to the iconic movie, but to performances of “Dirty Dancing” at the Des Moines Performing Arts.
