TRANSPORTATION MATTERS for IOWA

Zero Fatalities Message Monday - April 28, 2014

4-28-message-mondayAlready in April, four motorcyclists have lost their lives on Iowa highways. Motorcyclists are encouraged to “ride bright” to increase their visual presence on the road.  It is up to the rest of us to be on the lookout for these men and women. The task of driving deserves your full attention. Driving distracted or drunk increases the chances that you will not see these smaller vehicles on the road.

In 2013, 13 percent of the 317 traffic fatalities last year were motorcyclists.  That is 41 of our friends that did not make it home to their families.

This is an increase of 3 from last week.
